Zhaoxin introduces two CPU series

The KH-4000 series will offer up to 32 cores.

Today the Chinese company announces KH-40000 server CPU series and KX-6000G series for embedded systems. The first series will be available in 12, 16, and 32 core configurations.

Zhaoxin KH-40000

The KH-4000 series are based on Yongfeng architecture with support for x86 and AVX/AVX2 instructions. This series of processors is designed for cloud computing, big data analytics, video processor, databases, high-performance storage solutions. Deployment of KH-4000 series may also be seen in all-in-one computers.

The company is to offer 12, 16 and 32 core configurations with boost clock up to 2.2 GHz. Those CPUs do not support hyper threading. Up to 2TB of DDR4 EEC memory is supported, and the company is promising 4TB for dual-socket systems. The KH-40000 series are strong on the PCIe lane support, up to 128 will be available, but only of the 3.0 standard and only on the 32-core part.

Features

  • 16nm Yongfeng Architecture
  • Architecture: x86 32/64-bit, SSE 4.2, AVX, AVX2, SM2, SM3, SM4
  • Configurations:
    • 12-core/12-threads (2.2 GHz)
    • 16-core/16-threads (2.0 – 2.2 GHz)
    • 32-core/32-threads (2.0 – 2.2 GHz)
  • Up to 2TB DDR4 EEC support (4TB dual-socket)
  • Supports: 128× PCIe 3.0 Lanes (32-core)/64×(12,16-core), 8×USB 3.2 Gen1, 16×SATA 3.2

Zhaoxin KX-6000G

The company is also introducing KX-6000G series of quad-core APUs with integrated graphics. The APU series will be based on the same 16nm Lujiazui architecture as KX-6000 models. The main improvement is the new graphics based on C-1080 GPU.

The company promises DirectX12, OpenCL 1.2 and OpenGL 4.6 graphics API support. The integrated GPU should offer up to 4K video through hardware acceleration decoding.
