XFX teases Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 graphics cards, new THICC series?
Custom graphics cards based on Radeon RX 6800 series are ‘arriving soon’ from XFX, the company today announced on Twitter. The enthusiasts should be familiar with this design, it resembles the Radeon RX 5700 THICC series design, with few changes to make it more modern-looking.
We are looking at a full custom design with three fans. The cooler extends beyond the PCB’s length, so the third fan will be pushing the air through the exposed heatsink. It is hard to see from the render, but it appears that the new THICC series will feature dual 8-pin power connectors.
We can see on the render that the card carries a ‘6800 XL’ logo. There was a rumor that this was the original name of the Radeon RX 6800 non-XT for a short period of time before AMD changed its mind.
AMD will launch its Radeon RX 6800 series on November 18th. The custom designs from board partners are expected a week or two later.
