XFX RX6600 XT Speedster series: SWFT, MERC, and QICK

XFX finally updated its website with Radeon RX 6600 XT model.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT is the latest addition to the RDNA2 lineup. It offers 2048 Stream Processors and 8GB GDDR6 memory with a 128-bit bus. The card is equipped with a large L3 cache known as Infinity Cache with a size of 32MB, three times smaller than the Navi 22-based RX 6700 XT series. The card launches exclusively through board partners, which means only custom designs are to be expected. XFX developed three designs based on this SKU, here’s a quick overview of these cards.

XFX RX 6600 XT Speedster MERC308 Black

The XFX RX6600XT Merc 308 is the top-tier model in the new lineup. It offers a fully custom triple-fan cooling solution equipped with 4-piece nickel-plated copper heat pipes attached to a large aluminum heatsink. The base sits on top of the GPU and memory, while the heatsink sits on the VRM sections, ensuring that all major components are properly cooled. The backside is also covered but a full-cover metal backplate. But, that’s just the theory, whether that is really the case, we should know soon enough when the first reviews will go live.

The MERC308 has an LED illuminated logo and a dual-BIOS switch. The manufacturer has not yet updated the clock speeds for this model, which means that we might have to wait till the official launch (August 11th) for more details.

XFX RX 6600 XT Speedster QICK308 Black

The QUICK308 offers an identical PCB design with the same cooling solution, however, the backplate and the shroud have been replaced with a full black design. There are LEDs here, but the dual-BIOS switch has been retained.

XFX is yet to provide the exact clock speeds for this Navi 23 based model.

XFX RX 6600 XT Speedster SWFT210 Core

The RX6600 XT SWT210 is the first RDNA2 card with dual fans from XFX. The manufacturer does not provide any GPU specifications of the design, but we do learn that this is a dual-slot model (so it’s thinner than QICK and MERC) and that it requires a single 8-pin power connector. XFX is not providing a photo of the PCB design, but it appears to be near-identical MECS and QICK, with an exception of the missing Dual-BIOS switch.
