Microsoft Copilot breaks AMD drivers settings
The Adrenalin settings will reset with each system reboot.
Microsoft has just released a cumulative preview update listed as KB5030310. This update enabled the new functionality of copilot, a new AI-driven assistant that can perform Windows tasks and connect with the web to provide the latest information.
According to some reports, the Windows 11 KB5030310 update can cause some issues with the AMD Adrenalin drivers, such as resetting the custom settings in the control panel every time the system reboots. This problem does not affect the graphics driver functionality, but it can be annoying for users who like to tweak their settings.
While AMD and Microsoft are already working on a fix for this issue, users are already looking for possible fixes. One possible workaround for this issue is to disable the Windows Copilot feature, which was introduced with the KB5030310 update. Another option is to uninstall the update and wait for a permanent fix from Microsoft or AMD.

The issue may be frustrating to users who were testing AMD’s new features like HYPR-RX or Fluid Motion Frames which are enabled per game. The settings not saving will mean that with each cold system restart all these settings will have to be applied again.
It is expected that AMD and Microsoft will provide a fix for this issue quickly. We do not recommend tinkering with vivetool, but rather wait for the official hotfix for this particular issue.
