Even workstation graphics cards are a subject to crypto abuse

Gamers in Vietnam have been struggling to find graphics cards at good price for their rigs for 2 years now. This is mainly because local retailers and Internet Cafés have turned their business into either cryptomining operations.

It looks like content creators and professionals thinking of buying one of the RTX A4000 GPUs with GA104 GPU might need to reconsider their plans as well. A retailer called “Nyugen Cong PC” is seemingly unbothered about this fact and is now offering systems with eight RTX A4000 cards strictly for cryptominers. Each system delivers 5XX MH/s of ETH hash rate, and it is cheaper and faster than RTX 3070 Ti consumer GPUs, retailer claims.

Obviously, we do not understand how is this even allowed and how proud are all those companies mentioned on the storefront supporting crypto mining business. But does this really matter now, when cryptoboom is almost over and GPU prices are returning to normal, probably not. Is this something that should be written about and touted till we never hear about it again, of course it should.
