Acer enabled BiFrost for Arc A770

It looks like Acer spared no time delivering the first Arc A7 desktop GPUs to the press. We have been told by Plonter.info, an Israeli tech website, that they actually have a full review on this card already.

If you wondered how a custom Arc A7 GPU could perform, then here is your answer. Plonter managed to obtain a sample of a custom Acer Predator BiForst GPU, essentially becoming the first media outlet in the world to test not only this card, but any custom Arc GPU.

Acer Predator A770 is a full custom designs with two fans and two 8-pin power connectors. Interestingly, this is a 16GB version, not an 8GB model which will be the primary choice for A770 custom designs.

According to the test, this GPU has reference ‘Graphics’ clock of 2100 MHz and TBP of 225W. That said, we are not entirely sure what the ‘OC’ means for this card. There are no changes to the display output configuration, either. The site is not confirming if the HDMI ports are 2.1 or 2.0.

The site has all performance figures for this card, but sadly no info on availability or pricing. Given that the sample has already made its way to the media, there is a chance it may launch with Intel Limited Edition GPUs next week, at least in Israel it will.
