Thunderobot expected to add RTX 4060 to the MIX
Chinese laptop and small form factor systems maker is set to announce a new device for gamers.
Thunderobot, a large player in the Chinese domestic market, has gained recognition as a supplier of high-end gaming systems. In the past, we have covered several laptops from this company, which were among the first to hit the market with the latest Intel CPUs or NVIDIA GPUs.
Their latest offering, known simply as the MIX, arrives a bit late to the party. Equipped with an Intel 13th Gen Core processor and presumably a mobile version of the NVIDIA RTX 4060 graphics card, this hardware has already been available on the market for some time. But it’s clear that a complicated device like this needs more time to make. Worth adding that the official announcement mentions Intel 13th Gen Core-HX series, which would imply higher TDP variant and more cores.

The MIX will be the first of its kind, especially in its compact size, to incorporate the NVIDIA RTX 40 graphics onboard. Its design is expected to bear similarities to recently mentioned devices like the NUC 12 Enthusiast, which boasts an Intel 12th Gen Core CPU and Intel Arc A770 graphics.
Notably, the Thunderobot MIX shares a striking resemblance to Dell Alienware Alpha R2 systems, which were originally designed for SteamOS as Steam Machines. It is clear that the Chinese company drew inspiration from Dell’s Alienware Alpha R2 system, which featured the now outdated Core i7-6700T and GeForce GTX 960 combo. Undoubtedly, Thunderobot’s product will offer significantly enhanced performance.
