MIX MiniPC with up to RTX 4070 Laptop GPU
Initial reports suggested that Thunderobot MIX, a compact gaming PC, would come with a GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. However, the company has now confirmed that it will actually feature a higher-tier GeForce SKU.
The MIX is a gaming system packed into a small 1.7L chassis. Its design resembles the old Alienware Alpha R2 systems, which had the dated Intel Haswell architecture combined with GeForce GTX 900 GPU series. Despite the similarities in appearance, Thunderobot’s MIX boasts significantly faster hardware.
The official specifications of the MIX include options for either a Core i9-13900H or Core i7-13620H Raptor Lake mobile processor. Gamers can choose between 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5 memory and 512GB or 1TB of storage. The most noteworthy feature, however, is the availability of either an RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 Laptop GPU up to 140W, which places this product in the same league as some powerful gaming laptops.

The logical question that arises is where such a system would find its best use. One potential application is as a home theater PC or a dedicated gaming PC connected to a large TV. Although the graphics might not be sufficient for 4K gaming, newer upscaling techniques like DLSS3 could potentially compensate for that limitation.
Pricing for the new MIX PC has not yet been announced.
