Sony PlayStation 5 now more expensive
Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO confirmed today the company will be hiking the price of PlayStation 5 consoles across many markets.
Gamers should now expect to pay at least 6% to 10% more, depending on where they live. Sony provided new prices for select regions which include, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin/North America. The only exception is the United States, which won’t see the recommended price increased.
The company is citing economic challenges and spiking inflation in those countries that require price adjustment. Those prices will take effect immediately starting from today (for Japan it’s from September 15).
