AMD Navi 32 MBA (Made by AMD) so far exclusive to Sapphire

Sapphire is, at this time, the only AMD board partner to announce a reference model of the RX 7800XT.

AMD has officially stated that there won’t be a reference design for the Radeon RX 7700 XT GPU, which is equipped with a cut-down Navi 32 GPU. Instead, board partners will have the option to offer a reference-based model based on the RX 7800 XT GPU. This reference design, known as MBA (Made by AMD), will be available directly through AMD’s official webstore. Additionally, partners will have the choice to introduce their custom designs, featuring factory overclocking and increased board power.

On the other hand, the RX 7700 XT will be exclusively available through board partners as custom designs. None of these custom designs that were shown thus far resemble the AMD MBA design for the Navi 32 GPU.

As for the RX 7800 XT, only one company, Sapphire, has announced an MBA model. Sapphire is planning to offer a variety of series, including NITRO+, PURE, and PULSE, indicating a comprehensive product lineup.

The RX 7800 XT MBA design, as listed by Sapphire, appears to have no evident visual changes compared to the MBA design. It’s important to note that all MBA cards, whether from an AIB or directly from AMD, are essentially the same cards, sometimes rebranded with stickers, while the core components remain identical.

The availability of AMD MBA RX 7800 XT series from other manufacturers remains uncertain at this time, with no indications of similar designs from companies other than Sapphire. It’s important to highlight that this reference design is currently undergoing evaluation by reviewers, and the results are anticipated to be disclosed tomorrow, a mere day ahead of the official product launch.
