Sapphire teases Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card with a new design
Polar Elves, Power Bonus.
White PCBs on graphics cards are becoming increasingly common, and it seems that Sapphire is ready to join the ranks of companies offering this distinctive design choice. The first graphics card to feature this innovation is the Radeon RX 6500 XT, although it must be noted that this GPU is not particularly new or powerful. Nevertheless, every journey has to start somewhere.
Sapphire has dubbed this card the “Power Elves,” presumably the official name. It appears to adhere to the Mini-ITX form factor and is equipped with a single fan. A closer look reveals that it incorporates the new fan design known as “Angular Velocity Fan Blade,” which is currently utilized in the Radeon RX 7000 PULSE and NITRO series. Additionally, the card sports an overall white color scheme with no sight of any RGB lighting.

Unfortunately, specific details regarding the card are somewhat scarce. It remains unclear what types of display connectors this model offers. However, based on the power requirements of the RX 6500 XT card, it is reasonable to assume that it utilizes a single 8-pin power connector.
What’s interesting is that Sapphire opted for the RDNA2 desktop GPU instead of the newer RX 7600 model for this release. The Navi 24 XT card boasts 1024 Stream Processors and 4GB of GDDR6 memory, along with a rather narrow 64-bit memory bus. These specifications are not expected in a graphics card released in 2023.
