Sapphire and PowerColor introduce new Radeon RX 7900 GRE models
Product pages for new Radeon GPUs have gone live in China.
For the latest information on custom Radeon RX 7900 GRE models from Sapphire, PowerColor, or XFX, it is recommended to refer to the Chinese pages for the necessary details. Neither company has an official page in English, despite AMD’s plans to launch the SKU globally through system integrators.
Nevertheless, the only official page for a custom model is from PowerColor, featuring their latest Red Devil GPU. Sapphire has only listed their NITRO+ SKU on their official Chinese store. Meanwhile, XFX does not have a dedicated page yet but is expected to be the primary partner for the reference model.

Sapphire’s NITRO+ variant boasts a three-fan design for efficient cooling. The cooler seems to be borrowed from the RX 7900 XT NITRO+ LITE edition, lacking a vapor chamber and an ARGB strip on one side. This model features two 8-pin power connectors. Gamers have the option to choose the OC BIOS setting with a clock speed of 2395 MHz.

On the other hand, PowerColor’s RX 7900 GRE is a slimmer version of the RX 7900 XT/XTX design. It visibly has a thinner profile and utilizes two power connectors instead of three. The company confirms that this model uses an 11+2+1 phase design with a dedicated 2+1 VRM for power supply management. The cooler comprises three 10cm fans and 7x6mm heat pipes attached to the GPU and memory to effectively dissipate heat.

Interestingly, both the Red Devil and NITRO+ models share the same clock speed, likely representing the highest configuration suggested by AMD. While PowerColor’s model is not yet available on any e-tail platform, the NITRO+ variant is priced at 5499 RMB ($769) in China, which is approximately $27 above the MSRP.
