Just a quick update regarding our previous 7800X3D CPU story, which had it priced at $384. Well, it turns out Newegg has an even better offer, although it’s not a direct sale on their platform. Surprisingly, you can snag this CPU deal at Walmart of all places, but the offer is still courtesy of Newegg.
This 8-core CPU is currently listed at Walmart for just $354, and it even includes a free shipping option. That’s a $30 reduction from the price we reported yesterday. However, there’s a slight catch – the Walmart listing doesn’t mention the Starfield coupon, indicating that no game will be bundled with this purchase.

Considering that this price is already the lowest ever for this processor in the US, it represents a substantial $95 discount from its original launch price of $449. This CPU is only three months old and remains the latest AMD desktop CPU to be released worldwide. At this time, there’s no information about the potential launch of a 6-core variant, as we saw with the 5600X3D, which arrived almost two years after the initial Zen3-X3D series release.
If other retailers decide to follow this trend, it could ultimately solidify the 7800X3D’s status as the leading gaming CPU for the AM5 platform in the near future. Given that the X3D series doesn’t demand excessively high-end motherboards, gamers may also find cost savings when opting for the B650 or A620 series, provided they support high TDP SKUs. The 7800X3D boasts 8 Zen4 cores and a default power consumption of 120W (with a peak of 163W).
