AMD Radeon RX 6X50 Series?

According to leaker Greymon55, AMD might be preparing a new version of its RX 6000 desktop series.

At CES 2022 the company updated its mobile portfolio by introducing its first 6nm entry-level cards, even faster Navi 22 models with higher TGP, and a response to the NVIDIA Max-Q series, the power-limited Radeon RX 6000S series. For AMD, which had a limited presence in the laptop GPU market, such an update was definitely impressive, but also very confusing because it introduced two entirely new product sub-series within the already existing lineup.

According to this new rumor, the same could happen with the Radeon RX 6000 series, where one could expect a 6nm refresh of some Navi 2X GPU and possibly higher-wattage models as well as cards with increased memory speed. Greymon55 does not have the details yet, but the memory speed upgrade appears to make the most sense, considering AMD already offers cards with 18 Gbps memory.

With the introduction of Radeon RX 6500XT and RX 6400 earlier this month, AMD has completed its lineup and for the first time in years, it is now offering as many as four GPUs within the same architecture under one series.

A brief look at the full RX 6000 lineup, shows relatively small participation of the Navi 22 GPU. This processor was among the ones mentioned by Greymon55 as possible 6nm refresh at some point in the future (possibly as part of the Radeon RX 7000 series). This has not yet been confirmed, nor there were any leaks showing a new variant of the Navi 22.
