Intel Core i9-14900K listed in two high-end gaming PCs
Newegg etail partners had already listed their next-gen desktop PCs powered by Intel’s Core i9-14900K CPU.
Skytech and CLX, manufacturers of prebuilt systems, are gearing up for the upcoming release of Raptor Lake Refresh CPUs next week. Newegg recently listed two similar PCs, which have since been removed.
The CLX system boasts a powerful 24-core Intel i9-14900K CPU, paired with 128GB of DDR5 memory (specific specs unknown), a 2TB SSD, an oddly large 6TB HDD, and an RTX 4090 graphics card. This impressive setup comes with a price tag of $6,999, according to the Newegg listing. Additionally, the system offers an intriguing vinyl sticker on its side window resembling a blood splatter, though there is an option to choose a version without these ‘details’.

The Skytech system, on the other hand, shares many similarities with the CLX system, including the 14900K CPU and RTX 4090 graphics card. However, it differs in a few key aspects: it lacks the 6TB HDD drive and has half the DDR5 memory capacity. Additionally, this Skytech system includes a keyboard and mouse in the package and comes at a more budget-friendly price of $3,899.
Both of these offers are expected to be available again in just three days when the official pre-order embargo is lifted. As a friendly reminder, the Core i9-14900K stands as the fastest SKU in the upcoming CPU lineup, featuring 24 cores and a turbo spec of 6.0 GHz. This marks the final update for the LGA1700 platform, as the company is set to transition to the LGA1851 platform next year.
