PowerColor submits Radeon RX 6700 series to EEC

PowerColor filed the requisite paperwork with the Eurasian Economic Commission that covers Radeon RX 6700 series that will launch in near future.

Gigabyte, ASRock, and now PowerColor have already submitted their SKUs to the EEC office. This, however, does not mean that all SKUs listed in a filing will be launched. On the contrary, it is expected that only a few of these cards will ever make it to shelves.

Board partners regularly update their Radeon RX lineups. Before launch, multiple variants are considered, but in the end, only the cards with the highest margins are released. PowerColor had previously filed for multiple Radeon RX 6800XT models that did not carry the OC moniker, only a few of those cards have ever been released.

The RX 6700 XT series filing has multiple custom models listed. Various models carrying E/L/LV or WL monikers are to be found on the list. At this point, we can only be sure that there is the Red Devil coming. Some of the product codes may also refer to Red Dragon and Fighter series, however, none of the codes appear to be similar to RX 6800 series, thus it is only a guess.

The company has also filed four RX 6700 non-XT models, all being 6GB GDDR6 variants. The ‘3DH’ model means that the card will have three DisplayPorts and one HDMI output.

AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will be the first graphics card based on Navi 22 GPU. The card is expected to feature all 40 Compute Units enabled, which equals 2560 Stream Processors. This upper mid-range model will offer 12GB of GDDR6 memory, which matches NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, now set to launch on February 25th. Meanwhile, AMD’s card is now rumored to launch in March.
