Leaked PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti specs are identical to ‘unlaunched’ RTX 4080 12GB

PNY is set to launch two RTX 4070 Ti custom models.

PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPUs

According to the specs, the new SKU is to feature 7680 CUDA cores and 12GB GDDR6X memory. Furthermore, the GPU clock speeds are 2310/2610 MHz (base/boost). This means that the specs are identical to the RTX 4080 12GB model that was canceled.

This is a further confirmation that NVIDIA has made no changes to the specs of the upcoming RTX 4070 Ti SKU. This is indeed a rebranded RTX 4080 12GB card that unlaunched by NVIDIA just as quickly as it was announced two months ago.

According to the information, PNY is set to launch RTX 4070 Ti XLR8 VERTO and VERTO GPUs. These are not the same cards, as the former is a high-end GPU featuring more capable cooler similar to the RTX 4080 16GB card. Both triple-fan designs, but the latter lacks RGB lighting, and it is slightly thinner (3 slot vs. 3.3-slot)

PNY GeForce RTX 4070 Ti PCB

One of the renders shows the new PCB for AD104-based RTX 4070Ti. We can clearly see the one 12VHPWR connector, the GPU, and memory modules surrounding it (six should be occupied with GDDR6X memory). The PCB is more compact than RTX 4080 16GB and features far fewer VRMs, now located only on one side of the GPU.

It should be mentioned that PNY was actually the only company that published full specs of their RTX 4080 12GB cards, just a day or two before NVIDIA axed this model. It looks like the XLR8 VERTO looks nearly identical to what the company showcased 2 months ago.

According to the rumors, NVIDIA is set to launch its RTX 4070 Ti GPU on January 5th. The only missing information is pricing; however, it should undeniably be better than ‘original’ $899 MSRP for RTX 4080 12GB.
