A new competition to Ryzen 4000 H-series has appeared… from the AMD desktop series.
ORIGIN PC announces EON15-X with Ryzen 9 3900
Just a few days ago we told you about Schenker XMG APEX 15 featuring AMD Ryzen 9 3950X processor. OriginPC is following this trend with its EON15-X gaming laptop. However, instead of offering 16-core 3950X in EcoMode like Schenker, OriginPC is offering the highest SKU with a maximum TDP of 65W — which is Ryzen 9 3900.
OriginPC offers GeForce RTX 2070 graphics for EXON15-X. Such graphics are currently not available for Ryzen 4000H laptops, although NVIDIA said they are coming in the future (RTX SUPER to be exact).
The laptop is fully configurable, the basic offer is Ryzen 5 3600 with RTX 2060 for around 1550 USD. A system with Ryzen 9 3900, RTX 2070 and 1TB of NVME drive costs around 2570 USD (not including rebates).
The system is paired with a 15.6″ 144Hz display (which appears to be a TN panel). It can be optionally factory-calibrated.
Crafted to run the latest games with incredible visuals, the all-new ORIGIN PC EON15-X leads the way for desktop-level PC gaming on a notebook. Play your favorite games with a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 3900 desktop processor for improved multitasking, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q design with support for real-time ray tracing, up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 15.6” 144Hz 1080p narrow bezel display for a gaming experience that rivals desktops.
