One-Notbook today announces its One Gx1 Pro handheld gaming console.
One Gx1 Pro with Intel Tiger Lake Core i7-1160G7
Chinese company One-Netbook today announced a new version of its Gx1 handheld gaming console (or if you prefer – a netbook with gamepads) based on Intel Tiger Lake architecture. The previous model Gx1 Non-Pro was based on Amber Lake.
The console features Thunderbolt 4 (USB 4.0) output that supports a data transfer of 40 Gbps. This allows high-speed external storage to be connected. Unlike many of such small consoles, the One Gx1 Pro features a 7-inch 1920×1200 pixel display with 10-point multi-touch support. Similar to other Tiger Lake devices, this console features LPDDR4X-4266 memory with a capacity of 16GB. The built-in storage features 512 GB (PCie SSD).
In terms of connectivity, it features WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, SIM module, and Thunderbolt 4×2 port. It also features USB 3.0 and micro HDMI port. It supports MicroSD external storage and supports 3.5mm headphone jack.
The device is very portable, with a length of 17.3 mm and width of 13.6 mm, OneGx1 Pro is just 2.1 cm thick. It weighs 623 grams which is around 225 grams more than Nintendo Switch. The One Gx1 is clearly inspired by Alienware Area 51m gaming laptops (with a full length LED at the back).
At the time of writing the pricing has not been confirmed, but the previous model featuring i5-10210Y CPU retailed at around 840 USD. The new model is not expected to be any cheaper.
