GeForce RTX 40 might have its announcement date

The “Project Beyond” teaser is for the upcoming “GeForce Beyond” special broadcast.

On September 20 NVIDIA will have a special event dedicated to GeForce series. This event will be part of the Graphics Technology Conference (GTC). The time and date matches NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang keynote, which either means the keynote will include an update on GeForce series or there will be a separate segment dedicated to GeForce.

There were rumors that NVIDIA may announce its new series in late September, but GeForce series are usually not part of the GTC. At least now, this teaser confirms that there will be an update to the series, hopefully those based on Ada architecture.

Should this special broadcast really be on RTX 40 series, then NVIDIA might announce its new architecture before Intel even released it’s all Arc desktop GPUs, which is unfortunate for Intel.

Thus far, there are no updates from AMD on Radeon RX 7000 series, but the company did confirm RDNA3 GPUs will launch by the end of this year. It appears that NVIDIA will indeed be faster with next-gen GPUs again, just as they were in 2020.

Update: NVIDIA confirmed the event and released a new teaser:
