NVIDIA RTX 40 SUPER specs confirmed by board partners

NVIDIA has notified board partners on the upcoming GeForce RTX 40 update.

Earlier this week, NVIDIA started sharing more detailed information regarding the upcoming RTX 40 SUPER refresh to its partners. These companies have now received info featuring the core GPU specifications and requirements for the models now designated as SUPER variants.

The RTX 4080 SUPER is assigned a board number of PG139, and its SKU number is 355. This card is confirmed to house the AD103-400 GPU, representing the complete implementation of this graphics processor with 10240 CUDA cores. Additionally, the card is affirmed to incorporate 16GB of GDDR6X memory utilizing a 256-bit memory bus. Partners were informed that the TGP (Total Graphics Power) is set at 320W. Notably, details regarding final clock speeds, including memory specifications, are yet to be communicated.

The PGA141 SKU 323 is purportedly designated as the board and SKU number for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER. This card is now reported to feature the AD103-275 GPU and also boasts 16GB of GDDR6X memory. Consequently, two models from the SUPER series will employ this GPU. The TGP is stated to be 285W, consistent with earlier leaks.

The RTX 4070 SUPER, utilizing the PG141 board but under a different 335 SKU, is expected to incorporate an AD104-350 GPU and will launch with a TGP of 225W. This model will not undergo a memory capacity upgrade, retaining its 12GB capacity. According to board partners, due to increase in power this model will now use 12VPHWR connector.

All RTX 40 SUPER models are slated for on-shelf availability in January. Although NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the exact launch date, expectations are that the company will make a formal announcement at CES 2024.
