NVIDIA RTX 4090 Founders Edition is now even cheaper

GeForce pricing can only go one way now.

NVIDIA has decided to lower the price of their flagship RTX 40 GPU even further. This is a new discount following the March price adjustment by around 40 EUR. The RTX 4090 Founders Edition GPU is now listed at 1769 EUR, which represents a 9.2% price reduction from the 2022 MSRP of 1949 EUR.

It is worth noting that there are some discrepancies between EU countries, though. French or Spanish customers might see a 1789 EUR or 1779 EUR price, while Germany has 1769 EUR price currently in place (Germany has the lowest VAT of 19%). The price change is likely not related to NVIDIA’s change of heart, but rather the weakening US dollar exchange rates.

GeForce RTX 4090 Founders Edition pricing (Germany):

  • €1949 (original 2022 MSRP)
  • €1859 (-4.6%) February
  • €1819 (-6.7%) March
  • €1769 (-9.2%) May

Pricing for Founders Edition is typically applied late, at least compared to what board partners implement sooner. The RTX 4090 can now be found for just ‘just’ 1644 EUR in Germany, so that’s over 300 EUR cheaper than at launch.

NVIDIA was very reluctant to lower the price for their flagship RTX 4090/4080 series, but given the market slowdown, further price adjustment might be inevitable.
