New RTX 4080 SUPER rumors

The new SKU has been added to the well-known PCI ID Repository.

Before we get to the leak, one must understand what the PCI ID Repository is and how it works. The website is maintained by a group of individuals who can submit new entries using their knowledge and available leaked information. Occasionally, third parties with non-public data, like in the case of the GeForce RTX 40 Laptop GPU series, update the database. In other instances, the list is updated by maintainers based on the latest driver entries.

T4CFantasy, a TechPowerUP GPU database maintainer, holds access to early GPU BIOS and GPU-Z validations. This source has proven to be noteworthy, though these entries may not always represent the final SKU. Nevertheless, considering the circulating rumors about a potential RTX 4080 SUPER candidate with an AD103 GPU, such an entry should certainly not be dismissed.

This development indicates that the Device PCI ID 2703 is now being suggested as the RTX 4080 SUPER. Furthermore, the absence of an AD102 GPU validation entry suggests that such a variant is currently not in the pipeline. The proximity of 2703 to the already existing AD103 in the RTX 4080 non-SUPER lineup implies that this is likely a desktop variant. The mobile RTX 4090 and RTX workstation models are positioned higher in the ID hierarchy.

NVIDIA AD102/AD103 IDs

  • 2684 – AD102 [GeForce RTX 4090]
  • 26b1 – AD102GL [RTX 6000 Ada Generation]
  • 26b2 – AD102GL [RTX 5000 Ada Generation]
  • 26b5 – AD102GL [L40]
  • 26b8 AD102GL [L40G]
  • 26b9 AD102GL [L40S]
  • 26f5 AD102GL [L40 CNX]
  • 2703 – AD103 [GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER] 🆕
  • 2704 AD103 [GeForce RTX 4080]
  • 2717 GN21-X11 [GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU]
  • 2730 AD103GLM [RTX 5000 Ada Generation Laptop GPU]
  • 2757 GN21-X11
  • 2770 AD103GLM [RTX 5000 Ada Generation Embedded GPU]

Of course, this entry does not prove anything at this stage; however, it seems that Kopite7kimi rumors about AD103 being considered for RTX 4080 SUPER more than AD102 are reflected in new leaks.

Our sources have confirmed that NVIDIA did not provide any full specs on RTX 40 SUPER series to board partners and everything we see at this point is based on rumors and NVIDIA’s insiders info. Should that change, we will be quick to report on that, but AIBs do not expect any new desktop GPU releases in 2023.
