NVIDIA had already published official benchmark results featuring RTX 4060 last month, but this week reviewers and influencers will be given the green light to talk about the RTX 4060 non-Ti graphics in greater detail. The official review embargo lifts on Wednesday, but NVIDIA decided to implement a new embargo for one game in particular, Cyberpunk 2077.

Reviewers are allowed to give full benchmark results featuring this graphics card with or without DLSS or Frame Generation tech enabled in Cyberpunk 2077. Unfortunately, no other game is allowed to be tested. Cyberpunk, which is sometimes referred to as NVIDIA tech demo, is probably a good choice to demonstrate how the graphics card performs with DLSS2 and 3 enabled and how ray tracing affects the performance. Those details can be learned from the links below, but we will focus on overclocking.

Some reviewers went off-script and provided some very early OC results already. However, it should be noted that RTX 4060 is not an overclocking monster. The good news is that NVIDIA did not limit TDP adjustment, which was sometimes the case with previous mid-range SKUs for artificial segmenting. JayzTwoCents has shown that his ASUS RTX 4060 Dual sample has a TDP adjustment up to 20%, which should result in around 132W.

With a higher TDP and clock speed increased by 100 MHz, the graphics card does not offer much of an uplift. The framerate jumped from 80.80 FPS to 82.33 FPS on average at 1080p Ultra settings, representing a 1.2% increase. This is likely because the image quality settings set to high with ray tracing enabled are already at the limit of the GPU capability. That’s possibly the main factor why the benefits from overclocking were so low.
