An updated launch schedule for the NVIDIA RTX 40 desktop GPU series has been shared by MEGAsizeGPU.

It is rumored that NVIDIA may launch not one but three or even four GPUs soon. The next GPU to launch is RTX 4070 non-Ti (April 13th), which is to be followed by RTX 4060 Ti by the end of May. While some sources claim that both RTX 4060 (Ti and non-Ti) are to launch in May, MEGAsizeGPU is not so sure about it.
More importantly, we now have a first rumored launch date for the RTX 4050 desktop card. Little is known about the specs for this model, but it is almost certainly going to use an AD107 GPU, possibly a cut-down version, since RTX 4060 is expected to offer a full AD107 silicon.

NVIDIA is one of those companies that tend to adjust their product launch schedule frequently. This is why the last-gen RTX 3050 GPU was delayed by almost a year, despite being listed on embargoed documents as early as January 2021. It was not until January 2022 NVIDIA finally decided to release the slowest Ampere GPU for desktops.
The RTX 3050 desktop SKU was launched seven months after the Laptop GPU variant. Should this rumor turn out to be true, this would mean a 4-month gap between desktop a laptop Ada entry-level graphics cards.
As long as specs are considered, the RTX 4050 desktop could share the GPU specs with the laptop variant (2560 CUDA cores). The leaker also commented on memory specs for this variant. It is reportedly equipped with 6GB memory, just like the laptop SKU. This means a downgrade from the Ampere series (RTX 3050 has 8GB memory configuration).
