NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 shines in Blender benchmarks

According to the Blender benchmark website, the RTX 3090 will indeed be around 20% faster than RTX 3080.

NVIDIA RTX 3090 renders up to 19.7% faster than RTX 3080

Yesterday we published data form a leaked gaming review, where the card would only offer around 10% better performance over RTX 3080, which seems unexpected.

The synthetic data that we have from reviewers clearly put the RTX 3090 at least 20% higher than RTX 3080. This was to be expected as the graphics card offers 10496 CUDA cores (1.2x the cores of 3080).

The latest data from Blender also puts the upcoming model 20% above the RTX 3080. The render times of RTX 3090 measured in milliseconds are between 15 to 23% faster than the other model.

NVIDIA launches its Ampere GeForce RTX 3090 flagship on September 24th. The card has a retail price of 1,499 USD, more than twice over the RTX 3080.
