NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 – first pricing appears

Could NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 AIB cards cost just as much as RTX 3060 TI?

NVIDIA announced that GeForce RTX 3060 non-Ti will debut in late February at the price of 329 USD. There won’t be any reference models available, so there will also be no opportunity to purchase the cards directly from NVIDIA webstore.

The limited stock, GPU mining craze, and increased import tariffs in the US are still affecting the pricing on current graphics cards. While more and more GeForce RTX 30 and Radeon RX 6000 cards are slowly becoming available at retailers, they are almost always listed at a much higher price.

The GeForce RTX 3060, the upcoming GA106-based model from NVIDIA, will be no exception. The card is not officially listed for preorder by any store yet. Most retailers that we have checked are currently listing the cards as ‘coming soon’ or ‘not yet available’.

One of the retailers, however, actually appears to be showing pricing for these cards. UK based retailer CCL Computers is currently showing RTX 3060 pricing but only through ‘similar products’ or ‘recently viewed’ sections. Everywhere else the price is listed as ‘to be announced’. This is likely a bug on the website that reveals the actual price that was not meant to be made public, or maybe it was?

The cheapest RTX 3060 we could find is the RTX 3060 TUF non-OC from ASUS, listed at 469.96 GBP. Most cards, however, are listed at 499.99 GBP, which might be a placeholder price. Yet, this is often a higher price than the custom RTX 3060 Ti from the same AIBs. The RTX 3060 cards are listed at nearly 150 GBP higher price than the RTX 2060 series. It was recently reported that NVIDIA has plans to reintroduce these Turing series to the market. For now, it is unclear how many cards of both architectures will be available next month.
