GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and RTX 4060 non-Ti only from AIBs
NVIDIA has confirmed it will not release its in-house design for two out of three cards announced yesterday.
Only RTX 4060 Ti 8GB will be getting a Founders Edition. NVIDIA’s own reference design for RTX 4060 Ti looks similar to what we saw on RTX 4070 version, except the colors have been slightly modified. Instead of a slate gray frame, the AD106-based SKU will be getting a silver shroud instead. This, along with the product name on the back, will be the quickest way to distinguish RTX 4060 Ti from RTX 4070 Founder Edition.
The RTX 40 Founder Edition series offers good thermals and often just as good overclocking potential, which is why AIBs were not always happy to see more and more NVIDIA in-house designs entering the market. After all, through the Founders Edition program, NVIDIA is directly competing with AIBs, and they can still decide how many GPUs will be sent to these partners.
The good news is that RTX 4060 Ti 8GB is the only AD106 card getting a Founders Edition. The RTX 4060 Ti 16GB and RTX 4060 non-Ti which are launching in July will be partner-exclusive SKUs.

The NVIDIA RTX 4060 Ti design is officially equipped with a 16-pin (12VHPWR) power connector, but from what we can see on partner designs, the vast majority of RTX 4060 Ti cards with adopt the standard 8-pin connector instead.
This design should launch next week on May 24th along with tens of custom designs already announced. The 16GB Ti version and non-Ti SKU of RTX 4060 will not launch until July.
