NVIDIA announces CES 2024 event, most likely for GeForce RTX 40 SUPER

On January 8th, NVIDIA will deliver a special address during CES 2023.

Like last year, NVIDIA is planning to deliver a special address during CES 2024, which kicks off on January 9. It looks like NVIDIA will be announcing new stuff the day before, but the company hasn’t said what it might be, nor is the event called “GeForce Special Address”.

According to rumors, NVIDIA will announce as many as three new desktop graphics cards at CES 2024, all part of the new GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series. It is uncertain whether all three cards will be presented together or if they are anticipated to be released simultaneously in the market. But NVIDIA wants a lot of attention, so we’re expecting some teasers before the event.

During the special address given at CES 2023, NVIDIA unveiled its RTX 40 Laptop GPU series, as well as its RTX 4070 Ti models. Jeff Fischer, the head of NVIDIA’s PC business, was in charge of that event, and it’s still unclear if the CES 2024 address will be handed over to the same person or someone else.

The company is expected to release new graphics cards called RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4070 SUPER. These graphics cards will be added to the already large collection of Ada Lovelace GPUs. So far, nothing suggests that NVIDIA plans to launch more “affordable” cards or any flagship model like RTX 4090 SUPER. The first update for 2024 will focus on the upper high-end segment, which will hopefully make the pricing go down a bit.
