HP Omen reportedly features Intel Alder Lake-HX and GeForce RTX 40 Mobile

According to the product list exposed by hardware leaker @momomo_us today, HP is preparing at least six different of HP Omen laptops featuring various configurations of system memory, internal storage and graphics. Those laptops are to feature Intel’s yet unreleased enthusiast 13th Gen Core-HX series, considered a hybrid between desktop and mobile CPUs. Furthermore, they are all supposedly equipped with GeForce RTX 40 series graphics.

2023 HP Omen 17 laptops:

  • CM2007NQ/CM2005NQ: Core i7-13700HX & RTX 4060 8GB
  • CM2001NQ: Core i7-13700HX & RTX 4070 8GB
  • CK2007NQ/CK2004NQ: Core i7-13700HX & RTX 4080 12GB
  • CK2001NQ: Core i7-13700HX & RTX 4090 16GB

Each of those laptops would feature the same laptop CPU called Core i7-13700HX. Earlier leaks have shown that this particular CPU features 16 cores, which in this case means 8 Performance cores and 8 Efficient cores. This processor reportedly boosts up to 5.0 GHz.

When it comes to graphics, rumors have been floating around the web for a few months now, but thus far nothing concrete. However, should those product lists be correct, then we can filter some SKU names out. It was long rumored that the flagship RTX 40 GPU might be called either RTX 4080 Ti or RTX 4090. This ‘leak’ would suggest that it is indeed the second option. This SKU would get 16GB of VRAM, so just as much as current Ampere-based flagship, the RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU.

Conveniently, the retailer confirms the VRAM specs for each of the three remaining GPUs as well. The RTX 4080 gets 12GB memory, while RTX 4070 and RTX 4060 reportedly get 8GB.

Unfortunately, this leak does not provide any details on these SKUs such as clocks or CUDA core specs, but it is expected that we will see various implementations of Ada AD103, AD104, AD106 and AD107 GPUs coming to laptops very soon. The high-end mobile SKUs are reportedly featuring TGP up to 175W, possibly even higher technologies such as NVIDIA Dynamic Boost.

According to previous rumors, the RTX 40 Mobile is set to launch on January 3rd, just as Intel is revealing its Alder Lake-H/HX processors.
