We already had a look at Gigabyte and ASRock, so it is time to look at MSI’s new MAG and MPG series.

MSI MAG Z390 Tomahawk

As we previously explained, MSI is introducing a new naming schema to their motherboard offering. The MEG series will feature higher-end mobos such as GODLIKE or ACE, whereas the MAG and MPG series will occupy mid-range segment.

The MAG Z390 Tomahawk brings a refreshed look to established black and silver design. It does appear that this motherboard will feature preinstalled I/O bracket, which slowly becomes a standard feature.

MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Plus

Meanwhile, the PCB layout of Gaming Plus has not changed significantly since Z370. However, MSI added a much bigger heatsink over the power delivery. They also made a cut near SATA connectors, a feature more common to ASUS APEX series.
