MSI unveils a new lineup of products under the Limited Edition brand today. These offerings are set for a limited production run, exclusively accessible through select retailers for a specified duration. Leading the pack is the MSI RTX 4060 NV Edition.

This particular card is slated for production in a quantity of 6000 units and will feature the RTX 4060 SKU, positioned as the lowest tier in NVIDIA’s product lineup. Some might question why MSI opted for the “Limited Edition” label for a lower-tier model, but it’s evident that MSI is emphasizing its collectible appeal over sheer performance.

Interestingly, MSI refrained from naming the card after NVIDIA, possibly to sidestep any unwarranted legal attention from the GPU manufacturer. However, this opens the door to the possibility of seeing similar unofficial collaborations from other brands, such as AMD or Intel. Furthermore, these introductions may encompass not just graphics cards but also various other hardware components.

In summary, this concept this seems like a great idea for PC enthusiasts to buy something unique. With a production run of 6000 units, the chances of acquiring one of these cards is relatively high. Nevertheless, it remains uncertain whether these products will have a global reach or if they’ll be confined to specific regions.

The RTX 4060 NV Edition is scheduled for release on September 25th.
