MSI is now teasing yet another X299 motherboard, this time from ‘mid-range’ segment: GAMING PRO.
Since X299 Core-X platform supports quad-channel memory, GAMING PRO has reinforced memory slots on both sides of the CPU socket. The socket is named ‘Turbo Socket’, whether that’s MSI’s name or Intel’s, I’m not sure. We can also see 8-pin and 4-pin power connectors on the left side, which means that this motherboard is ready for some overclocking.
Full X299 motherboard reveal is expected at Computex which starts at the end of this month.
