MSI admits GeForce RTX 4080 pricing is bad
Even MSI is not happy with the RTX 4080 pricing.
MSI Gaming USA happily reports that RTX 4070 Ti is now available at their official store. Interestingly, RTX 4070 Ti is still available at MSRP 3 days after launch, even at this store specifically which was not always the case. It looks like the latest NVIDIA indeed has no supply issues and board partners have no problem selling them at the advertised MSRP, at least for now.
Even MSI knows that RTX 4070 Ti is better value than RTX 4080, which is hardly a good buy right now. As we mentioned before, the RTX 4080 struggles to compete with the more expensive RTX 4090 GPU. This x800-class SKU is so costly that even wealthy customers would rather buy RTX 4090 at that point.
This is the reason why the price of the RTX 4080 is simply bad, according to MSI. The card is not even available at the MSI store right now for $1,199, which may make this statement even more true.
The cheapest MSI RTX 4070 Ti is Ventus 3X without factory-overclocking, while Ventus 3X OC goes for $60 more on Amazon (affiliate link).
Update: MSI had already removed the tweet, but we made a copy just in case.
