MSI announces RTX 4060 Gaming X and Ventus 2X Black
MSI has finally unveiled its RTX 4060 non-Ti graphics cards.
Recently, NVIDIA announced that the newest member of the RTX 40 family will be released on June 29th, contrary to initial messaging about an early July release. This means that board partners now have less than 2 weeks to launch their graphics cards, but this shouldn’t really be a problem for most, since some brands have already unveiled their cards.
MSI was one of the companies that did not show its AD107-based RTX 4060 cards yet, at least not until now. At least four new models can now be found on the MSI website from either GAMING or Ventus 2X series. All of these cards have one thing in common: minimal RGB lighting.
The Ventus Black series is a new design, the same series is part of the RTX 4060 Ti lineup. The Gaming X are not either, but the cooler for RTX 4060 non-Ti models appears to be using even less RGB. The stripes on the shroud are no longer emitting any light, only the MSI logo on the side.
The Gaming SKU will be available in two variants, either with or without factory-overclocking. However, both cards can run at higher speed thanks to MSI software.

The Ventus 2X Black series are lower-end SKUs in the MSI lineup. These cards boost up to 2475 or 2505 MHz depending on the model. Although this is not a Mini-ITX form factor, the card is still relatively small, with less than 20 cm of length.

MSI RTX 4060 cards will be released on June 29th with prices starting from $299. Only non-OC and non-X models will launch at MSRP and those cards should be part of the initial RTX 4060 review coverage one day sooner.
