MSI to launch new GAMING SLIM series in white
MSI is working on new graphics card series based on the GAMING models.
According to reports, NVIDIA’s hopes for promoting the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB launch have not been met with much enthusiasm from their board partners. However, there are still some brands that believe this launch deserves a brand-new model or an evolution of the existing design.
MSI has already introduced the RTX 4060 Ti GAMING TRIO series, which features a black design and a thick 2.5-slot cooler, even though the GPU itself only requires 160W of power. Now, the company is working on another GAMING card, except this time with a slimmer cooler.

The upcoming card is called the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB GAMING X SLIM WHITE, which is a mouthful to say and represents a fresh design for the NVIDIA AD106 GPU. As the name suggests, it will still be part of the GAMING line but will feature a sleeker appearance with a new white aesthetic. This is not simply a change in color, but an entirely new cooler design with RGB illuminated stripes pointing into a different direction than the original series (possibly the easiest way to distinguish the design, bar the color).

The RTX 4060 Ti with 16GB of memory shares the same specifications as the 8GB variant. It will be equipped with the AD106-350 GPU, boasting 4352 CUDA cores and a 200W TDP. However, the 16GB variant will still be limited by its 128-bit memory bus and PCIe Gen4 x8 interface.
The card is scheduled to launch on July 18th. Being a “GAMING X” variant indicates that it won’t be sold at the MSRP and will likely cost more than $499.
