MSI Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming is now available at Newegg for 1100 USD

Newegg has begun selling Radeon RX 6600 XT ahead of the official embargo.

A seller on Newegg now offers MSI’s yet unreleased RX 6600 XT graphics card at a depressing price of 1099.99 USD. While the offer is without a doubt hosted on Newegg, this is Newegg selling the card directly. The card is sold by a 3rd party seller located in China, who apparently did not get a memo on the official embargo lifting on August 11th.

How was it possible for a 3rd party seller to even list this unreleased card at Newegg right now, we don’t know. However, in this case, Newegg is actually helping an embargo-breaking retailer to sell cards ahead of the official launch and at a higher price than expected.

Speaking of the price, the MSI RX 6600 XT Gaming is likely not going to cost 379 USD, which is the official AMD suggested retail price for this SKU. MSI’s Gaming X is the top-tier variant with factory-overclocking and an above-average cooling solution, which will definitely increase the final price. Whether that’s going to be 400 or 500 USD, is unclear yet. It should, however, definitely not cost 1100 USD.
