MSI lowers the price on RTX 30 series
It appears that at least one board partner did listen to gamers. The company is running some major discounts on RTX 30 series right now.
Not all GeForce RTX 30 SKUs are included, and not all brands are taking part in the price cut. But the good news is that something is finally moving, as MSI has lowered the price on their most popular mid-range RTX segment.
MSI GeForce RTX 30 pricing (May 26th 2023):
- MSI GeForce RTX 3050 Ventus 2X OC: $219.99 (Amazon), $219.99 (Newegg)
- MSI GeForce RTX 3060 8GB Ventus 2X OC: $259.99 (Amazon), $259.99 (Newegg)
- MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12GB Aero ITX OC: $279.99 (Amazon), $279.99 (Newegg)
- MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti G6 Ventus 3X OC: $314.99 (Newegg) (promo code VGAEXCMSET448)
- MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ventus 2X OC: $449.99 (Newegg)

As we can see, there are some considerable changes to RTX 3060 cards, which are still the most popular choice among gamers. The RTX 3060 8GB now costs $259.99, while the original 12GB model is currently listed at $279.99.
Even the original RTX 3060 Ti (with GDDR6) memory is now listed at $314.99. It sounds like a good deal compared to GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, unless you need DLSS3 and AV1 encoding.
The prices we listed above are not all the on Newegg or Amazon deals. You can find other models like the GAMING X series for a bit more. Furthermore, there are no price cuts from Gigabyte or ASUS yet, so it is either MSI trying to push the inventory or something that may indicate NVIDIA is adjusting margins and MSI spared no time in adjusting prices.
