MSI Arc A310 GPU emerges

It appears that MSI low-end Arc series are not limited to Chinese OEMs.

The Intel Arc A310 GPU is a low-power desktop GPU that utilizes a scaled-down ACM-G11 processor. Positioned as the most basic option in the Arc Alchemist lineup, this graphics card falls short in comparison to the Arc A7 series. Nonetheless, it serves its purpose in providing an ultra-budget series that complements Intel Core F-series CPUs that lack integrated graphics and require a discrete GPU.

The MSI version of the Arc A310 boasts 6 Xe-Cores and is equipped with 4 GB of GDDR6 memory connected to a 64-bit bus. With its limited performance and memory bandwidth, it will deter serious gamers. Adding to that, it has a strict power limit of 75W, and since the card lacks a dedicated power connector, it relies solely on the power supplied through the PCIe slot.

However, the Arc A310 GPU does offer some noteworthy features found in the more powerful Arc A380 GPU, such as robust AV1 encoding and a relatively new GPU architecture.

The adoption of the A310 GPU has been slow, with few other companies showing interest in it. An upcoming GPU series, the Sparkle Genie series, has been announced but is yet to be released. The Gigabyte A3 series seems to be limited to the Russian market, and the Matrox LUMA series focuses primarily on professional users. Meanwhile, Sparkle is working on at least two models, the ELF and GENIE series, with one of them being a low-profile version.
