NVIDIA RTX 4070 already in stock at some retailers

Retailers confirm upcoming RTX 4070 launch.

The RTX 4070 officially launches next week, but it is no longer a secret that such a card is indeed coming. Both the retailers and reviewers should be receiving cards by now. Retailers are typically first to give us early pricing information, which is often inaccurate. However, this time we were able to confirm the price before any speculation could even begin.

According to official slides, the NVIDIA RTX 4070 is to retail at $599, but early retailer data shows placeholder pricing way above this value, typically going as high as $823 or even $915. This is of course not real pricing, but at least we know which cards are coming in the first wave and there are actually quite a few.

Most high-end RTX 4070 SKUs will use the same coolers as RTX 4070 Ti, as both cards use the same AD104 GPU and 2XX watt TDP. However, the 200W RTX 4070 will not always require beefy triple-fan cooling, which is why we will be seeing more dual-fan options this time. The list of known RTX 4070 GPUs is growing by the day. This is of course not a full list, but only the cards that appeared in retailer or regulatory office listings. MSI is leading the list since they were among the first to submit EEC filing with many cards, but as shown above (and below), the company is relatively open book when it comes to the upcoming RTX 4070 launch.
