Intel Arc A570M and A530M announced

Intel has just two mobile graphics cards based on the Alchemist GPU series.

Intel silently introduced its latest additions to the Arc A-Series family – the A570M and A530M. These chips come with either 16 or 12 Xe-Cores, respectively. Interestingly, Intel did not publicly announce this launch, but both chips were already incorporated into the latest GPU driver.

While some details are still missing, such as memory specs not being listed on the Intel website, the company did reveal information about the GPU configuration, clocks, and TDP. The A570M, with its 16 Xe-Cores, shares the same configuration as the existing A550M, but it operates at a higher GPU clock of 1.3 GHz (400 MHz faster). This improvement comes at the cost of a higher TDP, which has increased by 15W, now ranging from 75W to 95W TGP.

On the other hand, the A530M is a new configuration featuring 12 Xe-Cores (1536 shaders) and a GPU clock of 1.3 GHz. It is expected to offer entry-level performance with a TGP configuration between 65W and 95W.

While Intel was expected to introduce two SKUs in Q3 (according to leaked roadmap) those parts were supposed to be 150W. As we can see, neither A570M nor A530M uses this much power. On the other hand, Alchemist+ rumors suggested one might be getting a 75W-100W TGP part featuring ACM+G20 chip around this time of year. It is unclear if these SKUs use updated Alchemist, or rather the third ACM-G12 GPU that was appearing in the leaks for a long time.

With the addition of these two models, the Arc A-Series GPU family now consists of seven models. This is a considerable lineup for a new player in the discrete graphics space, surpassing both AMD’s RX 7000 series (four SKUs) and NVIDIA’s RTX 40 series (five SKUs) mobile series.

Intel mentioned that both SKUs were launched in “Q3’23,” implying that these mobile graphics might already be available to some OEMs. However, the official driver release happened only today.
