Core i5-13490F, a new variant for Chinese market?
First details on new Core i5 processor from the 13th Gen Core series.
The Core i5-12490F was a special edition released for the Chinese market with increased cache. This CPU was using a die from a higher-end model with increased L3 cache and higher clocks than i5-12400F. The successor called i5-13490F appears to follow this principle.
According to the screenshots shared by @wnxod, the CPU features 6 Performance cores and 4 Efficient cores. That said, the full configuration is 10 core and 16 threads, just as the i5-13400F. The difference is in the clock speeds, which are 200 MHz higher, so the same level as i5-13500. Furthermore, the L3 cache has 24 MB, so additional 4MB are available with this SKU. However, the L2 cache has not changed and remains at 9.5MB.

The CPU has already been tested with CPU-Z built-in benchmark, and it scored 779.7 and 6834.5 points in single and multi-core test respectively. This roughly translates into 6% and 4.5% higher performance than Core i5-13400F.

The previous model came in a distinctive black box, and it was only sold on Chinese market. Intel did not bundle a stock cooler with this processor. The i5-13490F is not yet listed by Intel on official website, nor it was announced last month at CES 2023 with the reveal of non-K series.
