Intel’s upcoming Xe Graphics spotted with 1.65 GHz GPU clock

A new benchmark showing Iris Xe Graphics has been discovered by @TUM_APISAK. It showcases yet unreleased Iris Xe integrated graphics from the upcoming Tiger Lake processor.

Intel Tiger Lake processors are based on a 10nm SuperFIN fabrication node, featuring Willow Cove core and Xe-LP graphics architectures.

The series is expected to deliver twice the performance over integrated Iris graphics in the current 10th Gen Core Ice Lake series. Both series represent low-power mobile series (up to 28W) for ultra-thin and compact laptop designs.

The new benchmarks show Iris Xe Graphics with 768 ALUs (cores) clocked at 1650 MHz. That’s a 350 MHz increase over speculated 1.3 GHz and 100 MHz higher than the previously seen benchmark.

Intel is set to launch its low-power Tiger Lake mobile processors on September 2nd.

This is not the first we are seeing a higher Xe Graphics clock. A flagship Tiger Lake processor  has already been spotted with a GPU running at 1.55 GHz on Geekbench. However the benchmark website lists the graphics device as a desktop variant. Thus it could be Intel’s own mobile discrete DG1.
