Intel Core i9-13900KS already on sale in Europe
Yesterday we reported that Intel’s first 6 GHz consumer CPU is on sale in France, only to report that today that a retailer in the Netherlands is selling the same even CPU cheaper.

What is important to note is that the yesterday’s listing did not feature any official Intel product pictures. In this case, we now have a real photography for the Core i9-13900KS “Special Edition”, confirming that this is not a placeholder.
The Core i9-13900KS is the upcoming 24-core CPU with maximum turbo clock of 6 GHz. This is the first consumer desktop CPU to offer such a frequency out of the box.

The CPU is actually listed at €799, which is much cheaper than French listing at €950. More importantly, it is €124 more expensive than Core i9-13900K and €144 than KF variant at the same store. That’s important because one can find the same CPUs cheaper, but it is also worth noting that Netherlands have 21% VAT.

Needless to say, this price is very high, but about what we expected given the previous KS Special Edition releases. One might argue if this price is good enough to consider, given that some motherboards already ship with “6 GHz” settings for Core i9-13900K CPUs. In this case, no warranty will be voided, though.
The Core i9-13900KS is set to launch on January 12th officially, but this store has the CPU in stock and can ship it for tomorrow.
