Intel Core i9-13900K drops to $530 at MicroCenter, 13700K to $330 and 13600K to $250

Intel K-series get first major discount at one retailer

Some major discounts have now been introduced by MicroCenter.

Just as we expect more news on Ryzen 7000X3D series later this month, Intel, and their partners are implementing some interesting price cuts. Thus far the K-series pricing has dropped only at MicroCenter, but there are some smaller discounts for other CPUs as well.

The flagship 24-core i9-13900K SKU is now available for $529.99, which equals to a discount of $59 from original MSRP. At the same store, a Core i7-13700K 16-core CPU has been discounted to just $349.99. Moreover, Core i5-13600K can now be found for just $249.99, which is $69 cheaper than it was earlier.

While this is a very respectable discount, it should be noted that this promotion is only for in-store pickup, not available online. More importantly, other US retailers have not yet followed MC by reducing the price at their stores, and nothing really indicates that this might happen.

We quickly checked the most popular US retailers (Amazon, Newegg and MicroCenter) to see whether other SKUs were discounted as well. Unfortunately out of all 7 available unlocked K-models, two of them are still sold over MSRP.

Interestingly, the just released Core i9-13900KS flagship Raptor Lake-S CPU has been discounted by on Amazon. Customers may apply a $40 coupon which reduces the price to $689.99. This means that we have a very first discount on this CPU as well.
