Intel 13th Gen and 12th Gen series see major discount

Raptor roars are now cheaper.

With limited AMD Ryzen 7000 series discounts, Intel’s LGA1700 platform, which has recently been updated with 14th-generation CPUs, is currently showing its lowest prices for the previous-generation CPUs. The K-series of unlocked 125W CPUs has received some major discounts on Amazon.

Core i7 CPUs are leading the pack, reaching their lowest price yet on Amazon. The i7-13700K dropped to $345 while the i7-13700KF variant is now available at $336. The Core i5-13600K and KF models have respectively dropped to $270/$250, which also happens to be the lowest price for these CPUs yet, at least on Amazon.

If you don’t mind buying older CPUs, then the 12th Gen Alder Lake series are also available at some good prices. Starting with i9-12900KF, which is now listed at $310, is basically just an older version of 13700KF. The i7-12700K and KF are now at their new low price points of $211/$199, still a great deal, but one should remember they have with fewer cores than the 13th Gen series. The entry point into gaming on unlocked LGA1700 series, the i5-12600K and 12600KF are now at $153 and $140 respectively.

The AMD AM5 and AM4 CPUs have not shown much change in terms of prices, at least not to the level we have observed in the past few months. Likewise, the 14th Gen Core “Raptor Lake Refresh” is too new to expect price drops yet. Should any of that change, will be the first to report on that.
