Intel Arc A-series get official waterblock from EK

Super expensive water block for mid-range GPUs.

Intel Arc Alchemist are on the market for six weeks now, but unlike GeForce RTX 40 or Radeon RX 7000 GPUs which received water blocks almost instantaneously, water cooling companies were as so eager to launch cooling products for Arc GPUs. Nearly months later, we finally get an official block from Slovenian company EK.

The first thing we did, was to check on the latest pricing for Arc GPUs. A brief look at Geizahls price comparison tool tells us that the cheapest Arc A770 can now be found for €420 as of this week, while A750 bounces between €333 to €320.

It is worth noting that both GPUs are on a slow decline since their launch. That is definitely something worth keeping in mind because EK’s water blocks is to ship by mid-December. More importantly, this water block now costs €247.97, so exactly 75% of the Arc A750 Limited Edition’s current value.

  • Intel A770 LE: €419
  • Intel A750 LE: €333
  • EK water block: €248

Unlike most GPU water blocks, this is a full kit with a backplate, and there is no option to buy it separately. For EK this is just another water block of similar design, so the production cost has not changed. But for gamers who considered water cooling their Arc GPUs, this might be too much. They could have simply bought something faster and equipped with better cooling at the same price.
