Intel confirms Raptor Lake Refresh SKUs

Intel (un)intentionally revealed its complete 14th Gen Core desktop lineup in a new document.

The Product Change Notification document serves as the customary source of information regarding upcoming alterations to product packaging or potential discontinuations. In this instance, the PCN “119696-00” serves as a notification to retailers, system integrators, and OEMs who receive Intel CPUs on trays that an upgrade is in store for these trays. This change is prompted by Intel’s ongoing efforts to enhance transport media, shipping methods, and packaging, leading to a planned design update for the shipping trays.

Intel has announced that the third iteration of LGA1700 CPU trays will start shipping on October 25th. However, Intel’s partners will continue to receive the second revision until Intel exhausts its supply of these trays. But the real significance of this change notification lies elsewhere.

Within the list of LGA1700 CPUs that can be transported, one can find both Alder Lake and Raptor Lake CPUs, spanning across Core, Pentium, and Celeron SKUs. What’s intriguing is that this list also unveils the complete lineup of 14th Gen Core models, which Intel had not previously disclosed to the public.

The list is a perfect match with the previous leaks, excluding the models that weren’t mentioned before and including all variations of the models identified before as engineering samples. What’s more, this list can now be used to compare S-Spec codes, which are expected to be printed directly on the CPU retail samples.

It’s worth mentioning that there’s only one missing SKU, and that’s the KS “Special Edition” version of the Core i9-14900KS. This CPU isn’t anticipated to be released until early 2024, as Intel typically requires time to accumulate enough pre-binned chips for the launch of a new SKU with enhanced frequency support.

Intel is set to launch the new series precisely one week from today. Retailers have already started preparing for this release, and we have seen some reliable pricing leaks including the last one from UK retailer.
