More Intel 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” laptop CPUs

Hardware leaker @momomo_us claims that Intel will launch two additional mobile 13th Gen Core CPUs.

Intel confirmed that Raptor Lake mobile CPUs will be available by the end of this year. The wording was clear that this is when the new CPUs should become available, so we are not talking about a paper launch.

For this launch, it looks like Intel is preparing at least four new mobile CPUs, two of which were known. Based on previous reporting, Intel is working on Core i9-13900HK and i7-13700H parts for laptops. These are expected to be the high-end gaming SKUs, both featuring 14 cores and 20 threads. These CPUs will also surpass 12th Gen Core series in terms of clock speeds, reaching as high as 5.4 GHz based on the leaks.

Meanwhile, @momomo_us claims that Intel is also adding 13_20H SKUs, which are either lower-TDP parts or a some kind of rebrands of existing SKUs. Intel Core i7-13620H and i5-13420H are mentioned, but such names return no results from quick googling, thus their configurations remain unknown.

It is likely that Intel wants 13th Gen Core series codenamed “Raptor Lake mobile” to come out before CES 2023. This is where we usually see new laptop CPU and GPU series, so this year will be no exception. Intel 13th Gen CPUs are likely to be paired with NVIDIA RTX 40 Mobile GPUs and possibly Intel’s own Arc A-Series.

The company also teased they will launch a new desktop-class HX series later. However, it is not confirmed to be the new Raptor Lake die with 8 Performance and 16 Efficient cores. These series should appear later though, possibly, a year after 12th Gen HX series which made a debut in this May.
