Gigabyte RTX 4070 cards confirmed to offer both options

It appears that we now have the very first pictures of the Gigabyte RTX 4070 series.

Leaker @momomo_us shared four renders of the upcoming Gigabyte designs including Eagle, WindForce, Gaming and Aero. Those are the custom series the company is planning for the RTX 4070 non-Ti launch next week. As shown in the picture, two cards will ship with an 8-pin power connector and two will get the newer 16-pin connector instead.

This is, of course, a confirmation of a rumor that NVIDIA will offer two SKUs under the RTX 4070 SKU. Board partners have a choice between a premium SKU which is supposedly set to offer ~225W TDP by default and a standard model with 200W. The latter is said to be offered at $599 MSRP, and it will be featured in the first reviews expected on April 12th.

As for the design itself, it looks like Gigabyte will be sticking to a triple-fan design and none of the cards will be dual-slot. However, this should surprise no one RTX 4070 Ti and 4070 are more than likely to share the same coolers and possibly even PCBs. The only exception being the new platform with standard 8-pin power connector.
